It also still lists Hide And Seek, Free Roam, and Escape, plus the Shift, C, and F controls. Treat that paragraph as the school manual. Treat the title, the event, and the new place names as the update.

The event was created on September 18, 2026, the same day the Pizzeria escape badges appeared, and it was scheduled for the following week. Open the official experience from the public Roblox page. A private server is not required.
A second public event is already on the calendar after this one. It is titled Verity And New Map and is scheduled for October 3 through October 9, 2026. That listing also has an empty description, so it is a date and a name, not a walkthrough. Finish the Grinch window first.
Is There a New Map?
Yes. The universe place list includes WhoVille - Escape, WhoVille - Hide And Seek, and WhoVille - FreeRoam. Those three names match the mode pattern used by the older maps: an escape place, a hide-and-seek place, and a free-roam place. WhoVille is spelled that way in the place names, with the capital V.
The badge catalog agrees. You Escaped WhoVille and You Escaped WhoVille With No Power were both created on September 23, 2026, two days before the Grinch event window opened. Every earlier map also has a normal escape badge and a no-power escape badge. WhoVille follows that pattern, which is how you can tell it is a finished escape route rather than an unused test place.
Older place names are still in the list. School, Mines, Play Place, and Pizzeria places were not removed when WhoVille was added. A few extra place names sit in the same experience and are not player maps. If your server browser shows WhoVille - Escape, that is the new-map escape round.
What Is Confirmed About the Grinch
The Grinch is a named role in the current build. Scream And Run Studios sells a pass called 2x Chance To Play As The Grinch. That pass was created on September 23, 2026, the same day as the WhoVille badges, and it was updated on September 25, the day the event started. The same store already had passes to play as the Cat in the Hat, Thomas, Ronald, and Bon Bon. The Grinch pass is the new name in that row.
A Throwable Snowball pass was created on September 22, 2026. Its description says the snowball can freeze a monster or a player. It is a paid item, not a required step on the escape. If you do not own it, you can still join WhoVille and play the objective the round gives you.
The event title pairs the Grinch with a new map, and WhoVille is the new map name from that week. What the round asks you to pick up can change while the event is running, so the reliable check is the objective line in the corner of your screen, not a fixed shopping list copied from an older day.
What Changed for Players
Three things are different when you open the game during this event. The page title wears the Grinch tag. WhoVille can be selected alongside the older maps. And the badge case has two new escape awards, including a no-power version, which means a clear exists for that map in the same way it does for the school and the Pizzeria.
What did not change is the control row and the school description. Shift still runs, C still crouches or crawls, Shift+C still slides, and F still toggles the flashlight. If you load School - Escape Mode, you are still on the backpack and key door. The update did not turn every server into WhoVille.
No Power is still its own badge on WhoVille, the same way it is on the older maps. The Infinite Lives pass mentions Escape and No Power together, so both clears exist. Compare the full badge title in your inventory if you need to see which one you earned.
How This Update Fits the Current Maps
The Grinch update sits on top of a month of map releases, and the badge dates are the clean timeline. School escape badges were created on August 28, 2026. You Escaped Mines followed on September 3. Play Place badges followed on September 11. The Pizzeria badges, spelled You Escaped Pizzera, followed on September 18. WhoVille followed on September 23. Each step added a map. None of them deleted the previous exit.
That is why a key guide and a Grinch guide can both be true on the same day. Players still search backpacks in the school. Players in the Mines still need the furnace route. WhoVille is the map attached to this event, and it should be read as its own objective. If a friend tells you the new map uses five school keys, check the place name before you believe them.
